The Opportunity:

Prime Residential is looking for an Acquisitions Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our Acquisitions team, responsible for evaluating and executing multifamily transactions across our West Coast portfolio.

This is a role for someone excited about a career in real estate private equity. You will be embedded in the full deal cycle from initial underwriting through closing, working directly alongside senior team members with real ownership from day one. The role also partners closely with our in-house property and asset management teams, investor relations, investment committee, brokers, and third-party consultants, giving you exposure to every corner of the business.

Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models, proformas, and cash flow projections for multifamily acquisitions by analyzing historical operating information including rent rolls, income statements, and offering memoranda.

What You Will Do:

• Market Research: Evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate trends across target markets. Maintain internal sales and rent comp databases and prepare materials for quarterly and annual meetings.

• Due Diligence Coordination: Manage the due diligence process including coordination with third party consultants, review of diligence materials, and partnering with internal teams to resolve open items through closing.

• Investment Memorandums: Prepare and present investment memos to the investment committee for approval. Contribute to investor materials and market reports.

• Pipeline Management: Manage the acquisitions pipeline, monitor deal status, flag risks to closing, and track critical timelines. Support broker outreach and sourcing new opportunities across target markets.

• Portfolio and Fund Analysis: Maintain portfolio and fund-level cash flow models and support asset management and lender coordination.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field. A graduate degree is a plus.

• 1 to 3 years of experience at an investment bank, private equity firm, brokerage firm, or real estate investment organization. Strong internship experience or relevant real estate and finance coursework are also considered.

• Advanced Excel modeling skills including DCF, IRR, and NPV analysis. Argus or CoStar familiarity a plus.

• Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.

• Proficiency with AI tools or experience leveraging AI to improve workflows and analysis is a plus.

• High sense of urgency, communication, and ownership. You take quality seriously and move with purpose.

The Hiring Process:

2. Two virtual interviews with leaders on the Acquisitions team

3. Take-home exercise to demonstrate your analytical approach

4. In-person presentation of your exercise followed by a tour of the office with the team

5. Offer extended

Compensation:

$89,000 to $119,000 annually plus a discretionary bonus, commensurate with experience
